Staff DJ - Dave
In 1973, Dave got started as a DJ in college radio (CCSU) on WFCS FM in New Britain, CT. He performed an on-air morning show and news broadcast for four years. He eventually became program director and then general manager of the station. In the mid-70's, Dave worked for WPOP-Hartford, doing news production for the legendary Charley Steiner (MLB announcer - LA Dodgers) and "The Greaseman" for about one year. Dave also formed a then new thing called a mobile DJ entertainment company called "RMS Audio".
During this period Dave worked in such local clubs as the Wolf's Den, The Banana, Marc Anthony's, Infinity and Sadie's and is credited with bring his beat-to-beat mixing skills and techniques and bringing new music (including imports) back to Conecticut.
In 1976, Dave joined the prestigious NY Record Pool and IDRC (International Disco Record Center) where he received promotional copies and test pressings of all the new music. In CT, Davy broke many major dance acts of the day, including Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summer, Cerrone, The Trammps, Chic, Vickie Sue Robinson and Evelyn "Champagne" King.
In 1978, Dave was awarded the best mixer award by RCA Records in NYC for his remix of Dynasty's "I've Just Begun To Love You".
In the mid 80's started his own entertainment company DJ Enterprises, and performed at weddings and private parties. In 1991, Davy graduated from CSB (CT School of Broadcasting) and worked for WAQY-FM "Rock 102" in Springfield, MA as a morning news producer and voiceover talent for commercials.
Throughout Dave has been a premier DJ providing entertainment and sound systems for large scale corporate events, along with weddings at the most exclusive facilities in NY and New England. Dave continues to remix music and perform at private and public engagements.
